Dr. Rachel Steele grew up in Northern Ireland and graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in London in 2003. Since 2004 she has been practicing in South Florida and has had a keen interest in surgery throughout her career in general small animal practice. These days, Dr. Rachel's practice is limited to surgery and dentistry.
Dr. Rachel is married to a local Fort Lauderdale firefighter, and has three two-legged children as well as rescue pup, Fiona. She genuinely loves helping pets and their people. You will find her friendly and easy to talk to. She understands how stressful it is when a beloved pet is undergoing anesthesia, and is eager to communicate thorougly and make you feel, as much as is possible, at ease throughout the recovery process.
As the cost of living continues to increase in South Florida, many pets are unable to gain access to the care that they need. Dr. Rachel started Pet Surgery Center of Fort Lauderdale with a passion to help our community's pets by providing uncompromized quality of care at the best prices possible.
